Julian Pang has worked as a graphic designer, illustrator and artist for the better part of two decades winning acclaim for a diverse range of clients; independent film makers, corporate entities, NGOs and television producers. Julian brings a sense of commitment and humour to every project he engages in big or small, employing a diverse multi-disciplinary approach to design that draws on his enthusiasms for typography, illustration, photography and calligraphy.
Born 1970 in Malaysia Julian was educated in Northern Ireland and Australia where he graduated with a Bachelor of Design in 1996. Recognised for his ability to solve problems effectively using various visual tools, Julian almost always include a hand-drawn element to his work. His calligraphy and lettering has featured prominently on marketing campaigns, logo designs and film posters. The latest a series of book covers for SANE Australia, which used illustration to communicate complex mental health conditions in a way that provides gentle understanding of the sensitive issues to the reader.
Julian works and lives in Melbourne, Australia with his wife and three children.
