David Stroup

Author David Stroup has had what he hopes a hypothetical future biographer will refer to as a ‘checkered career.’ Growing up in Hawaii, he earned a BS in Physics at UH Manoa while juggling odd jobs including freelance cartooning. David spent two decades kicking around the back alleys of journalism, doing time at Hawaii Public Radio, news radio stations large and small, and newspapers including the Honolulu Advertiser and Oregon City News. After a stint in marketing copywriting for the construction industry, he returned to school to become a teacher. He is currently married and raising two kids on the suburban fringe of Portland, Oregon, where he writes, draws webcomics, and teaches AP Physics at an area public high school.
