JL Wildeboer was born in Muskegon, Michigan and holds diplomas issued by WMCHS, the former Calvin College, and UIll-Law, for which the statutes of limitations have all expired. He has previously held the position of Junior Counselor in the Calvinist Cadet Corps and somewhat later practiced law for a few decades, but has since repented. 'JL' is not his given name, but is rather an affectation, seeking to hoodwink the gullible into equating him with the likes of JD Salinger, JK Rowling, JP Morgan and JR Ewing.
After his most recent book, 'The Unauthorized Autobiography of Leon Ezra VanRaalte . . ." JL discovered that he had created a 'Migratory Trilogy: Coming to America,' consisting of 'Ragpickers' Soiree,' (Southeast Asians coming to New Jersey), 'The Haitian Plan,' (Haitians to Alabama), and 'The Unauthorized Autobiography of Leon Ezra VanRaalte,' (one Hollander making a circuitous journey to Holland, Michigan in the 1860s-1870s).
Both 'Ragpickers' Soiree' and 'The Haitian Plan' include a legal bent, with Ragpickers' featuring sole practitioner Otto Schwartz, Esq., being pulled in several different directions by competing clients, ICE and the NLRB, while The Haitian Plan features the law firm of Truncate, Drawn & Partite, mergers and acquisition specialists playing both sides of the street
JL's fourth title, 'Jehu: Regicide,' is his first venture into historical fiction based on the Old Testament King Jehu's rebellion against King Ahab and his wife Jezebel, the Phoenician princess.
