I am a lover, a fighter, and a midnight writer.

I am a former pastor, then a former middle school teacher, and after that a former insurance claims adjuster. I am a husband, married to my high school sweetheart for more than 42 years. I am the father of three girls - Ashley, Holly, and Lacey. (Their names were the inspiration for my pen name.) I am a grandfather (and still so young!)

I am a blogger at thejourneyman.me. I am a writer of love, life, loss, liberty, and other things that don't even start with the letter "L." I am a storyteller. Some of my stories happen to be true.

I am forever in growth mode and perpetually a child - sometimes immature, impetuous, and impatient, but always curious and hopeful.
