S.J. Roy

S.J. Roy, also known as Samantha J. Roy, is a writer from Bangor, Maine that graduated from Husson University in May of 2016 with a Bachelors degree in English. Formerly a writing consultant and student manager of Husson University’s Writing Center, Samantha’s time is often spent laboring over new projects. A project worthy of notice is her time as editor and contributor of the 23rd edition of Husson University’s literary magazine, Crosscut. Another project is her videos on YouTube, where she speaks about her experiences with Alopecia Areata, an autoimmune disease that causes hair loss and prevents hair from growing.

Writing since the age of 10, Samantha continues to hone her crafts and explore the stories and worlds she can create with her favorite tools — her fingertips, her mind, and her voice.
