"The Nature of Things" came about through a collision of two very different things: a very real problem a neighbor had evicting a raccoon from a crawl space that opened off his bedroom, and a sequence of poems I'd written about characters I'd imagined (including Sir George Hooper and Sarah). Where Sarah came from I have at least some idea; where Sir George came from, and who or what, exactly, he is, I have no idea at all.
