My name is Karen Stanley, I have been a self-confessed bookworm from the time I learnt to read. I am a super proud wife, mummy and even prouder Nanny and I love to write chick lit style fiction. I really enjoy the lighter side of life and I try to add real-life humour to my stories, collecting 'you couldn't make it up' type moments wherever I go. My books are designed to include characters that my readers can identify with, laugh with, occasionally sympathise with, and hopefully include just the right amount of escapism.

My own publishing journey was convoluted to say the least and I have used this experience to help other new authors share their books with the world, and my most recent book, 'How to Publish a Book - without getting ripped off shares my 15 years of experience with those confused about the publishing world.
