Per David Andersen

I have dreamed of being a writer since the age of ten. I dabbled in poetry and short stories, but I never had the confidence to attempt a longer project. My first novel, The Second Coming of Matthew Cready, is the culmination of an idea that began nearly fifteen years ago. I finally started writing it in 2011, and completed it in August 2017. Finding time to write has been difficult with three children and a full-time job as a therapist. I love telling stories, though. I like fiction that feels real to me, with a touch of the supernatural. The Second Coming of Matthew Cready is the first in a series of modern fables that includes deities from a variety of sources. The commonalities among the various belief systems are much more interesting than the differences. Although it is important to me that I generate thoughts about the social landscape of America; above all, I just want to tell a good story.
