Kristen Sheppard

Kristen Sheppard grew up in Portland, OR. At a very young age, she excelled in music, textile arts, and writing. She attended the School of Music at University of Oregon, in Eugene. She moved to Houston, TX, in her mid 20's to work for the airlines. After almost a decade, she switched modes to open a retail needlework and custom framing store. Kristen's life shifted again when her son was born. Her son came first over career.

Currently, Kristen's day job is in the financial industry. Her son lives with her in Austin, TX, where he's started his own career journey. Kristen still loves to play instruments, and does so whenever the opportunity arises. She also loves to do textile arts when she has time. Mostly, she really enjoys writing for children and young adults. She likes to share her unique perspective of the world, which includes seeing things in new and funny ways. Kristen's goal as a writer is to inspire kids to be imaginative thinkers.

Kristen has three books published to date, with more coming out soon, and still more in progress in her writing pipeline. Stay tuned for new upcoming adventures for kids of all ages!
