Peter Panepento is Philanthropic Practice Leader for Turn Two Communications, a strategic communications and marketing consultancy that specializes in helping nonprofits and foundations tell their stories.
Its diverse array of clients includes The Community Foundations Public Awareness Initiative, the Cleveland Foundation, ProInspire, the Eugene and Agnes Meyer Foundation, America’s Charities, the Arthritis Foundation, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation — all of which have relied on Peter's knowledge of and connections to the sector to advance their goals and reach a wider audience.
Before launching the practice, Peter spent more than a decade covering the nonprofit and foundation world at The Chronicle of Philanthropy -- and he uses his knowledge of the media world to help his clients earn placements in high-profile outlets such as The Wall Street Journal, NPR, and The New York Times.
A resident of Columbia, Md., Peter writes and speaks regularly about communications strategy and public relations for nonprofits and foundations and is a contributor to Nonprofit Marketing Guide. Peter is also co-author of Modern Media Relations for Nonprofits and serves on the board of the Community Foundation of Howard County.
