Linnette J. Attai

As founder of the privacy consulting firm PlayWell, LLC, Linnette provides strategic advising and support to companies and nonprofit organizations on privacy and marketing regulation, industry self-regulation, compliance capacity-building, policy development, training, and data security crisis communications. She has special expertise in youth and student data privacy and serves as virtual chief privacy officer and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) data protection officer to select clients. Linnette speaks nationally in the US on data privacy matters.

Linnette created an FTC-approved Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) safe harbor program and is the subject matter expert for the nonprofit Consortium of School Networking (CoSN) student data privacy initiative. She is also a TEDx speaker and author of the books, “Student Data Privacy: Building a School Compliance Program,” “Protecting Student Data Privacy: Classroom Fundamentals,” and “Student Data Privacy: Managing Vendor Relationships."
