A. P. Dunar

A. P. Dunar was born on the near north side of Chicago, Illinois in 1951. His parents were first generation Americans of Italian and Czechoslovakian parents.

Over the years he has worked in many areas, including teaching in elementary schools and colleges. He also spent time as an elementary school principal and a college administrator. Over the years he has also been a football and hockey trainer; a high school football coach; a videographer, and a few other things that he'd rather not talk about.

Regardless of his careers, one thing that has always stayed the same is his love for storytelling. Be it around the campfire, on the team bus, at parties or in taverns, he has always captured the interest of listeners with his outrageous tales of outlandish people. All his life friends would ask him to relate these tales to new comers. Amused listeners would always suggest putting his stories into a book. He likes to say that he finally called their bluff and did it. Being a man of many words, once he started writing he just couldn’t stop.
