Vj Esguerra

Vj Esguerra likes playing with words to create fiction because--in his own words--"it's gratifying regardless of how messy the process is and how textured the product ends up being." Vj started creatively writing during the late 1990s but kept what he wrote to himself until the end of 2017 when he released a collection of his poetry as the moody "For the Feint of Art: 1997 to 2014". Months later, he released a collection of his short stories as the poignant "Read Fast, Cry Hard... Vignettes (With a Vengeance): 2004 to 1995". Vj recently released the sci-fi novella/blog tie-in "Yeah the Kid's Mine", the first book of the "Outside the Box" series. He regularly posts most recent work on the blog "The Space Between Me and You"

In May 2019, Vj released a collection of short poems written in the style of his blog called "Haiku Maybe: 365 Non Sequiturs".

To break writer's block associated with writing the sequel to "Yeah the Kid's Mine", Vj wrote "Sam's Story" which is set in the same universe as "Yeah the Kid's Mine":

Like any mother, Sam wants the best for her son and will do anything to attain it. When she takes a job at a robot factory, she unwittingly becomes involved in a conflict between human and artificial life.

Vj released his latest book, "Haiku Maybe: 365 Non Sequiturs". The anthology collects 365 new haiku-like short poems about love, space, nature, and other things that interest him.

The next book of the "Outside the Box" series, tentatively titled "The Bloxxers' Children", is currently in development--but it's still too early to declare an official release date.
