Patrick M. Douglass

Patrick Douglass is a courageous and loving young man. He was diagnosed at the age of 3 as mildly MR. His mother (Motivational speaker, author, and poet, Michelle Carter-Douglass) knew differently. During the years of misdiagnoses, Patrick was correctly diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome at the age of 19.

In Patrick’s own words: "I cannot change the cards that came my way. I can embrace them and hand them over to God. My father's actions are just that. I can only grow to be my own man and mirror my Heavenly Father. I was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome by man. I am used by God. God, I share my testimony. Take hold of my heart and mind.
