Thorsten Albustin

Thorsten Albustin was born in Duisburg / West Germany in 1974. The former Bundesliga goalkeeper, professional keeper coach and today’s head coach in the amateur league has been married since 1998 and has one daughter.

In 2010 he discovered his passion for writing. In 2011, Copress Verlag published his professionally acclaimed book “Fußballtorhüter” (Football Goalkeeper). Six years after that, Manuela Kinzel Verlag published Albustin’s autobiography “Leben zwischen Fußball und Wahnsinn – Die Angst besiegen (“Living Between Football and Insanity – Battling Anxiety). This work attracts by its reckless sincerity. Both his books express Albustin`s appeal for more tolerance.

In the following years, he felt drawn to new literary endeavours: In February of 2018 he self-published his belletristic debut “Fataler Reset – Eine verhängnisvolle Woche”. A thriller that unforgivingly points to the shortcomings and consequences of a commercial, remote-controlled life. As off May 2018 also in English: FATAL RESET – A FATEFUL WEEK.
