Hi all! I was born in British Columbia, Canada where my young parents had a rustic homestead. Their little plot of "heaven" was situated outside of the quaint community of Quesnel, near Canada's beautiful Dragon Lake and the majestic Fraser River.

My dad wasn't an experienced carpenter, but he did his best building us a home. For the first bit we didn't have indoor plumbing, heat, or electricity. Oh, and we had plastic for windows. Did I say it was rustic? We literally got our water from a nearby creek.

When I was a young boy, we left the wilderness and moved down to Oregon's Willamette Valley. I've spent most of my life here with forays to Washington, North Carolina, and Alaska. Everywhere I've lived or traveled influences how I write. Whether it was in the historic regions around Roanoke Rapids North Carolina, or soaking up the majesty of unnamed mountains in Alaska, it's all played its part.

Now, my family and I (wife and two sons) enjoy living south of Portland on a farm in the country. It's a very peaceful place...and we love it!
