Obelia Akanke

Obelia is a “true life poet.” She writes contemporary women's fiction and spoken word poetry. Topics range from the light-hearted "dates gone wrong" to those that address mental and emotional well-being. Most of her writing has a lesson and an interpersonal focus. By placing the reader in the shoes of the main character, Obelia hopes that her words will entertain as well as increase the reader's compassion and understanding for others.
