Veronique M Cardon MS

Veronique has a true passion for helping people live healthy lives and based on her personal experience decided to change her lifestyle in 2013. She left her big corporate career and created The CogniDiet Programs in 2014 to help smart women (and men) lose weight for good the smart way via three pillars of education:

1. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) principles based on the fact that changing your thoughts will change your behaviors and neuroplasticity which helps eliminate old ingrained unhealthy pathways in your brain and rewire with new healthier pathways

2. Mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR) as stress is a major root for disease and weight gain

3. Education about the benefits of healthy nutrition and exercise

She went through a real transformation as early as 2005 and was able to maintain a 30 pound loss for the past 13 years. That happened once she decided she came first. Diets don’t work, and sustained and healthy weight must be supported by the three pillars mentioned here above. The program is available online, in person in Princeton, NJ, and via a book "Weight Loss Starts in Your Brain", published on Amazon.com in January 2018.

She conducted a clinical trial with 40 women in 2016, average age 56. They lost an average of 12 pounds and a max of 33 pounds over 12 week. Top line results including improvement of blood lipids were presented at the 58th meeting of the American College of Nutrition in November 2017. Read the abstract in JACN. Weight loss is confirmed after 6 months and the one year data analysis is undergoing.

Veronique sits on the Board of Trustees of The Suppers Programs, a nonprofit organization dedicated to teaching people to eat and cook together to live a healthy life. She also led cooking classes at her house between 2013 and 2016.

She has over 20 years of experience working in the healthcare industry in leading commercial and general management roles including in large pharma companies such as J&J and Pfizer and startups. She has amassed a unique education in multiple diseases and human health.
