To paraphrase the late great Eric Morecambe, I enjoy writing the words but sometimes don't quite manage to get them in the right order!

Having now become the proud if somewhat bewildered author of sixteen books, my enjoyment of the process remains undiminished. That feeling of when an idea drops from the ether and slowly but surely begins to take shape is a satisfying process and before I say anything else, I'd like to place on record my thanks to everyone who has taken the trouble to leave feedback, whether good, bad or indifferent. We are never too old or too stubborn to learn after all!

I have also been pleased to be able to pass on some of the royalty payments I have received from Amazon to two of the most worthwhile causes I can imagine - Scottish Autism and Cancer Research UK. These charities don't need me to reiterate the extensive good they achieve in their respective fields, but it has been a satisfying reward for all of those long hours spent at the keyboard in being able to help in my own small way.
