Natalie Turner is a British author, columnist, cultural creative and international speaker based in Lisbon, Portugal.
Her debut novel, The Red Silk Dress, is a literary exploration of longing, courage and awakening, set across Cambodia, Malaysia and Paris. It follows Claudette, a French woman trapped in a loveless marriage, who encounters a younger Cambodian man, sparking a sensual and emotional awakening that alters the course of her life.
Drawing on years spent living across Southeast Asia and Europe, her work explores women at thresholds, the landscapes that shape us, and the quiet moments when lives change direction.
Natalie writes a monthly column for The Portugal News, reflecting on life as a writer in Portugal and the social, cultural and emotional landscapes that shape it. She is also the author of the award-winning book Yes, You Can Innovate and the creator of The Six ‘I’s® Strategic Innovation Leadership System, used by organisations worldwide.
Through Red Silk, she explores story, identity, leadership and the art of living more truthfully through writing, salons, letters and intimate cultural gatherings.
She lives in Lisbon with her husband, DJ Carl Hinds, whose work brings together vinyl culture, education and soulful music experiences.
