Vaia Tsolas

Vaia Tsolas, PhD was born in a small town in Greece, moved to New York as a young adult where she lives with husband and daughter since then. She is a psychologist and psychoanalyst on the faculty at Columbia University Psychoanalytic Center and Albert Einstein Medical School, teaching Freud and Lacan. She is the director of Rose Hill Psychological Services. She is the winner of IPA Sacerdoti Prize, Columbia Ovesey and Klar best teacher award.

An immigrant herself, Vaia has focused her work on issues of Otherness at the level of the body as well as at the societal.
