I'm a mother, a wife, a daughter, a sister, an Aires, a hard-working employee, and an author. I live in West Virginia with my husband, dog, and cat. My children are grown and I have one, lovely granddaughter.
I enjoy walking, reading, watching movies, and listening to music. I love to write! Creating stories has always made me happy. Researching historical figures, places, customs, and clothing of different periods in time fascinate me to no end! It is so much fun to develop characters and try to make them three dimensional. Describing places, people, and intangibles like feelings and atmospheres are challenging, and I enjoy the challenge.
Much of my inspiration comes from simply observing nature, with its sights, sounds, smells, and textures. Other times, I will see a picture hanging on a wall and build a story around it. Songs, new and old are essential to my creative process. I will listen to the words and imagine what the artist might have been thinking or feeling when they wrote that brief, poetic composition. Music offers the listener the opportunity to empathize and to be transported. If I can offer my readers a similar experience, I will count myself truly blessed. I only wish that I had more time to indulge in my craft.
If you enjoyed Indomitable, your feedback would be encouraging and greatly appreciated!
