Peter Borghesi

Peter Borghesi was born in Newark, New Jersey in 1952. As a child, his first teachers were Catholic nuns of the Franciscan order who left him with enough Catholic guilt to last through the decades. Nevertheless, he managed to graduate in the top ten students of his class. However, he admits to attributing his lofty scholastic stature to the fact that his eighth grade graduating class had a total of only nine students. He went on to to attend St.Peter's Preparatory school located in Jersey City, New Jersey and Fairfield University located in Fairfield, Connecticut where he developed an interest in writing. By age eighteen, his life's ambition was to write and publish a book that would elicit a gamut of human emotions from readers. Five decades later he fulfilled his ambition with his book titled "Am I A Teacher?" It is a memoir of his experience after leaving the corporate world to teach autistic children in an inner-city school. He resides in New Jersey and Florida with his wife of thirty-eight years. Together they have raised two children.
