Susan E. Hamilton

Susan E. Hamilton holds a bachelor’s degree in social sciences from Portland State University and a master’s degree in teaching from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, OR. She taught kindergarten through sixth grade during her long career as a public school teacher.

She has always enjoyed spending time with children. She laughed countless times in conversations with her students—in the classroom and at recess—and while reading their test answers and creative writing assignments. Dealing with the parents of her students was often, well, interesting! Susan kept a written account of those funny happenings at school over the years, and she laughed continuously while writing this book that describes the most humorous experiences a teacher could ever have!

Susan and her husband live in the Pacific Northwest. They have two wonderful adult children and two delightful grandchildren. Susan enjoys writing, reading, gardening and gatherings with family and close friends.
