Patricia Bowman-Stein

Patricia Bowman-Stein danced professionally in NYC until arthritis in her spine forced her to stop. She acted in theatre and TV commercials and became an Equity Union Stage Manager for Julie Harris, in “The Belle of Amherst” and other Broadway shows. After moving to L.A. with 3 children, her husband died. As a reporter, she worked for Lundberg’s Inweek and wrote & staged managed for Women In News for Cable TV L.A. hosted by Attorney Gloria Allred. She studied film and became a TV and Film Script Supervisor for many years and married a film & TV editor who died, 2 years ago. Her short story The Long Goodbye in the anthology, A Flash of Red, Spider Thief Publishing, Canada was published in 2005. She won the Alaska Airlines Jingle Contest presented by the L.A. Times. Her ads appeared on billboards and in newspapers and magazines. In 2014, her mystery book Oops A Dead Body was published by Outskirts Press, Denver, CO. Adding romance to murder, The Girl On Pointe The Ballerina Book One was published in 2018. The book won the Book Excellence Award for the Performing Arts Category (Film, Theatre, Dance, Music). She is a member of Sisters In Crime, Willamette Writers, LARA and Romance Writers of America. She’s currently writing Book Three of The Girl On Pointe.
