Randy Crutcher

Randy Crutcher, Ed.D. is co-author of The Passion Principle: How to Live YOUR Most Passionate Life, a powerful personal application of Positive Psychology research and techniques for leading one's most passionate and purposeful life. Dr. Randy Crutcher has a long, varied and colorful history in the helping professions. He’s been an educator, researcher, trainer, and organizational facilitator in many settings, working with community college and university students, former gang members and conservation corpsmembers. He opened one of the first health and wellness centers for men in the U.S., has led men’s groups, organizations and gatherings, and developed successful programs teaching alternatives to violence.

At many times in his life, Randy has found himself at a crossroads and questioning where his true passions will lead him next, what purpose and people he can best serve, what will give him the most thrill and satisfaction. In that quest, he’s learned some things about discovering, living and sustaining passion that are incorporated in The Passion Principle: How To Live YOUR Most Passionate Life.

Smitten with the joys of creative writing in junior high school, Randy became a sports writer and columnist for a town newspaper in high school. Writing ever since, he's published poetry, short stories, essays, magazine articles, letters to the editor, and a blog entitled Everyman's 21st Century Blog. His writing spans a wide range of topics, from nature, outdoor recreation and community development, to the psychological and social issues of our time. His most whimsical and humorous spouting of accumulated knowledge and wisdom comes through his relationship with animals as teachers in the form of The Divine Dog Wisdom Cards and Guidebook and The Cosmic Cat Wisdom Cards and Guidebook co-authored with Barb Horn.
