Steven Biggs is a horticulturist, edible gardening expert, host of the Food Garden Life podcast, and former college horticulture instructor.
His books include the award-winning 'Grow Figs Where You Think You Can’t' and 'Grow Lemons Where You Think You Can’t.' His most recent book is 'Grow Olives Where You Think You Can’t.' He’s co-author of the kids gardening book 'Gardening with Emma,' which he wrote with his daughter, Emma Biggs.
He’s given workshops on growing exotic crops in cold climates since 2011, but his infatuation with figs and citrus took off in 1990s, while spending a summer tending figs and citrus at a nursery with the UK National Collection of figs and citrus.
Steven was recognized by Garden Making magazine as one of the “green gang” of Canadians making a difference in horticulture.
