Barbara Petersen

Barbara grew up in the center of the United States, miles away from an ocean. When she finally had the chance to snorkel in the crystal-clear waters of the Caribbean Sea she was amazed at the beauty of the undersea world and wanted to have a closer look. She became a certified scuba diver and over thirty years later she has logged over 2,000 dives and taken thousands of photographs underwater.

Her children's books, "If Fish Could Talk", "If You Could Be A Fish" and "If You Could Swim With a Fish What Would You See?" all offer a perfect way to introduce children to a few creatures that inhabit the ocean. The rhyming verses, along with the colorful photos, ensure the books are entertaining and fun to read.
