What started as a poetry assignment has blossomed into a writing career for authorpreneur Brandi Martin. After writing several poems and short stories, her ideas expanded. When asked about the brief change of tone, from penning novels geared towards adults to books catering to children, she stated, "I wasn't a mother when I first published, but now that I am, I didn't want my children to have to become adults before they could read something I'd written. I wrote about them and for them".
