J.L. Capdevielle

My worldview has been shaped by mythology, syncretism, and the dark beauty of fantasy—especially that which stems from Mexican culture. They have become my greatest allies in exploring the truths that many prefer to ignore.

I see fiction not only as a means of expression, but as a bridge to shared emotions. I write stories that move me enough to make me wish my readers to feel the same, while also serving as a canvas to paint landscapes as vibrant and expressive as a work of art.

My stories may be wrapped in fantasy, but at their core, they are reflections of reality. The characters within them do not exist, their conflicts may seem unreal, and their situations impossible in the world as we know it, but deep down, they are as human as my reader.

I do not try to offer answers, but rather the possibility of an escape as intense as the most vivid palette, where even the brightest colors conceal a truth that, in its own way, is just as real.
