Raised on a healthy diet of science fiction, fantasy, and Greek mythology, Jason’s youth was spent among the stars, on other planets, and in ancient Greece.
Well, technically his youth was spent in Louisiana, Atlanta, and Tennessee. His mind was all over the place though.
His desire to become a writer started in elementary school and pushed him to an English and Education double major from Vanderbilt (with an accidental minor in classical languages). The masters he got from Vanderbilt focusing on English education was to make sure he could make money while writing.
Then he started working…
As a High School English teacher and a high school soccer coach (a state championship coach to be exact), he found little time for writing.
Then he found the love of his life...
Teaching wasn’t enough any longer and so Jason focused on his love for computers and computer science. Books became a little more technical for awhile and coaching became a little more youth oriented. Whatever sport his stepson and son enjoyed was the sport Jason coached.
A career change later and we find Jason finally able to write his first book, “Coaching Flag Football: What to expect as a parent volunteer and how to succeed” That book was followed by two other books that had subtitles far shorter than the initial, “The Reading Bible (Annotated)”, and “Modern Bible Companion: A guide to the New Testament”.
Jason’s first book was drawn from his experience as a coach. His next two were from his koine Greek studies at University (accidental minor in classical languages, remember) and his desire to help people read the Bible on their own with a little historical context to help better understand it.
He’s published his first fiction novel, Serenity War, the first in the Noble Book series. It’s a coming of age book set on a foreign world where human settlers have created a civilization all their own. He’d love for your interaction at his Goodreads and Facebook pages.
Of note, Jason has written his books so far with his Dachshund by his side. There is no indication that Buster has been the one actually writing the books… At least not yet.
