I was born and educated in Nottinghamshire, but spent school holidays and weekends in the Peaks where I went on to live and work, including running a village shop, for many years. I now live in Scotland with my husband and rescued greyhound but together we still manage to spend much of our time back in Derbyshire.

The stunning beauty and long-held secrets of the Peaks have often fuelled my imagination.

Having reached the hmm... age I finally have the time to write and have created the fictional characters of DCI Michael Forbes, DS Adam Ross and their supporting colleagues in the fictional small town of Leaburn.

However the main protagonists are always either the bad guys or the victims and while my books form a series each can be read as a standalone.

While some of the locations are from my imagination many do exist.

As an indie writer I really do appreciate every single sale of my books, and every nugget of feedback (good or bad) that I receive.
