Kathy Brooks Holloway

I am Dr. Kathy Brooks Holloway, a writer, author, and creative advocate whose work centers on resilience, healing, and the power of human truth. I am one of the writers of the feature film Pink Polka Dots, adapted from my book PINK POLKA DOTS: A True Story about survival, because sometimes, you don’t have a choice, which explores courage, survival, and reclaiming identity after trauma.

I am also the author of multiple books and workbooks, including Second Nature: Sometimes It’s More than Just a Choice, Sometimes I Do Not Like Hugs, Sometimes I Feel Afraid, Mad, Sad & Confused, and the Spanish editions A Veces No Me Gustan Los Abrazos and A Veces Me Siento Con Miedo, Enojado, Triste y Confundido. My creative work blends storytelling, emotional literacy, and empowerment for both children and adults.

My background in business, nutrition, and wellness informs my writing, allowing me to bridge education with authentic narrative. Through film, books, and advocacy projects, I focus on creating meaningful content that inspires self-awareness, healing, and personal growth.

I co-authored the book "The Grass Grows Where I Am". It is a publication written by 18 holistic experts sharing wisdom on how to care for yourself and create a life that fulfills your desires.

You can see more about the movie on IMDb under the name Pink Polka Dots.
