Paul Duffe

Paul Duffe' is a local native of Jacksonville, Florida. Paul graduated from the University of North Florida with honors and worked in the electronics industry for over twenty years. As a novelist, Paul enjoys centering his writing around local historical events and trends to propel his characters through his stories.

Paul's first book, "The American Way," is an anti-hero coming of age story that takes place in Paul's hometown of Jacksonville, Florida. The book follows two best friends over a twenty year period as they rise to the top of the local marijuana underworld while taking on many of Jacksonville's corrupt social elite along the way.

His second Book, "Cindy and Ringo," is a children's book about a little girl and her experience adopting a cat from a local animal shelter.

Paul is most excited about the on going Tor Cat Book Series he is currently writing. The series follows an Immortal cat named Tor, and how he impacts the lives of the people he encounters. There are currently 4 books in the series with a 5th due out in June 2026.

Book I in the Series is titled, "Tor & The Immortals." In this book Tor (the immortal cat) meets Ryan Anderson, a young successful advertising executive and aspiring musician whose life is forever changed after a fateful encounter with a mysterious stranger. After Ryan learns the truth about who he really is, Ryan and Tor are forced to go on the run in an attempt to evade an ancient society of Immortals determined to hunt Ryan down and eliminate him before he grows too powerful...

Book 2 in the Series is titled, "Tor." In this story Tor meets 86-year-old Emma Perkins in the sunset of her life. After taking in the mysterious stray cat, Emma notices drastic changes in her physical condition. Empowered with renewed strength and energy, Emma embarks on a journey to revitalize her long neglected neighborhood. Unfortunately, other corrupt conspirators have different plans for Emma's part of the city and resent her involvement. Determined to eliminate Emma at all costs, these conspirators are unaware Emma has a powerful friend and ally in Tor...

Book 3 in the series is titled "Tor & The Neighbor." In this story Tor meets seven-year-old Cindy Collins. Cindy's life has been forever tragically changed after her police officer father was killed in the line of duty. After befriending the little girl, Tor realizes Cindy herself is in danger. Her father's killer is closer than anyone realizes and has set his sights on Cindy...

Book 4 in the series is titled "Tor Reunion." In this story Ryan finds Tor's broken cat collar in his backyard and reunites Tor with Emma Perkins from book 2. United by their common interest in Tor, Ryan and Emma become friends. After Tor returns to Emma, she begins dreaming with a clarity she has never experienced before. But are they dreams or memories? Is Emma somehow able to see Tor's memories? The images in her dreams appear to span millennia causing Ryan and Emma to question Tor's origins. But both soon find that digging into Tor's past has consequences, dangerous consequences for them all...

Book 5 in the series is titled "ASIM." Book Five finds Ryan unconscious and trapped in one of Tor’s memories, offering a unique perspective of the immortal cat’s past. Ryan learns that Tor is also known by the name Asim and that for 150 years he was the loyal companion to a powerful pharaoh who ruled a lost ancient Egyptian Empire… That is until a vindictive senior priest came to power. Determined to take the throne for himself, the priest crafts an intricate plan to eliminate the pharaoh and turn his two sons against each other. Only Asim, the pharaoh’s fierce feline protector, stands in the way.
