Biography

Susan Richards, M.D.

Dr. Susan received her M.D. from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She served on the clinical faculty of Stanford University Medical School and taught in their Division of Family and Community Medicine. As an ordained Christian minister, she currently does prayer and healing ministry at Stanford University as well as many churches throughout the Bay Area and beyond. This is the first medical and healing ministry in the United States.

Currently, she has developed the Medical School of Healing Training Program which she does at churches all over the San Francisco Bay Area. She teaches and equips their ministry teams, prayer intercessory teams, healing rooms and church families how to understand the human body to be able to pray for the sick medically and spiritually and experience God’s healing miracles.

God’s vision is also that Dr. Susan and the Medical Ministry develop many Healing and Community Centers that are inspired by the love, joy and healing presence of God. These Centers would provide healing ministry so that people can experience God’s healing miracles for their illnesses and life issues on a 24/7 basis. In addition, the larger centers would provide inpatient spiritual and integrative medical care, as well as training and teaching conferences for how to heal the sick medically, and specialized healing clinics and events. She is planning to launch the Healing and Community Centers this year.

Her medical ministry Facebook page Dr. Susan’s Healthy Living has 1,200,000 followers and offers prayer and healing resources for many thousands of people in need each week. The ministry receives nearly 30,000 prayer requests for healing each week or 1,500,000 prayer requests per year.

Her best-selling books on health and wellness have sold over two million copies; her monthly newsletter and her biweekly e-newsletter reached over 850,000 subscribers. She has appeared on numerous national and regional radio and television shows and has been featured in hundreds of newspaper and magazine articles. As a physician, she has developed groundbreaking integrative medical treatments to maximize health and wellness.

Besides her responsibilities as a physician and minister, she has also served as a consultant on nutrition and family health to major corporations, including the Kellogg Corporation, Weider Nutrition International, and many others. She was spokesperson for the Gillette Company for their project through the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard University Medical School.
