Alan J. Buick

Born in New Zealand in 1945 and raised on a Mid-Canterbury sheep farm, my young self had the desire to become a farmer; that didn't work. Became a bona-fide carpenter / joiner after apprenticeship beginning in 1964; started my own business in 1973 which I operated 'till 1979. All this time I had been playing music on the side and decided to ply that talent in Australia in 1979. This is where I recorded my first demo tape of 6 songs. Did quite well there but accepted the opportunity to come to North America in 1981 for the same reason. This lead to being on the road with my own band and recording with "The Buckaroos" in 1983! With this accomplishment under my belt I thought I was destined for greatness! Didn't happen; it all fell apart and I returned to my trade in Edmonton Alberta in 1992.

My wife and I, (3rd wife; no need to go there!), decided to play a duo to help balance the books and it was during one of these gigs I was introduced to "The Little Coat." after determining that I was the one to write this story "The Little Coat" went on to become a Canadian National Best Seller! I had discovered another talent that I loved! So, armed with an array of ideas I set to work writing my first novel; almost complete and will be available on Amazon pretty darn soon! An introduction to "The Law of Attraction" led to my "Handbook of Life" and many memories of my youth and collection of anecdotes led to "The Book of Inane Revelation." I sincerely hope you enjoy reading my books, I wrote them for you!
