Lindsey Green

(Martyn) Lindsey Green is a sculptor, graphic artist and Level 2 Tridiscipline (Coarse, Game and Sea) Angling Coach and Coach Educator for the Angling Trust. He is based in South Devon and has been passionate about fishing, conservation and coastal wildlife all his life. His work on angling is flavoured with an enthusiastic light tackle focus and he has done much to promote its use.

In addition to his books on fishing, Lindsey is working on several fiction titles, some aiming at an adult audience while others are intended for children. The first of the adult fiction works - Spirits of Cetacean Seas - has now been submitted for approval and will shortly be on sale in both paperback and Ebook format. His first two children's books are already on sale.

Before joining Kindle, Lindsey wrote three titles that were published by mainstream publishers - Ward Lock Educational, Blandford Press and Cassell. These were ‘The Challenge of Shore Angling’, ‘The Challenge of Wreck Fishing’ and ‘The Challenge of Light Tackle’. More recently, he has added eight Kindle titles to the range, including his first children’s books, ‘A Matter of Life and Breath’ and 'The Day the Stranger Smiled', his first tridiscipline angling project 'Fly Fishing - The Tug on the Line' and his latest sea fishing book 'Four Easy Steps to Better Float Fishing'.

He also produced 'Five Easy Steps to Better Beach Fishing' which is designed to both stand alone in its own right but also to act as a support guide for the beachcasting course that he developed for the Angling Trust.

A former teacher, his stories became a firm favourite with the hundreds of children that he entertained in his assemblies. One character in particular – Lenny the Lobster – is the central character in the Rockwater Series that he is currently developing. As with all his books and articles, Lindsey does all his own illustrations. (You can view some of his artwork at www.fishyinspirations.co.uk and the concrete ornaments that he produces at www.somethingnice4gardens.co.uk.)

In addition to the stories in the Rockwater titles, Lindsey has included fun activities that double as teaching resources intended for topic work upon the seashore. He has also, through his work with schools, clubs and individuals, done much to promote conservation and greater awareness of both the beauty and diversity of the UK marine environment.
