J H Marshall

J H Marshall (James H. Marshall) was born in Boise, Idaho in 1942 to Harold and Bessie Marshall. He was raised, with four siblings, on a farm near Eagle, Idaho, learning about hard work through chores and caring for farm animals.

He is a husband to Annette, father of 8, grandfather of 33 and great-grandfather of 8 so far.

He attended Eagle Elementary, Eagle Jr. high school and Meridian High. He attended Boise Jr. College and graduated from Brigham Young University and American College. He served two missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Brazil and Chile. He spent his working years farming, telecommunications, and financial planning. During those years he gave hundreds of the estate planning seminars and facilitated many personal relationship workshops.

His career in financial services was cut short, after 35 years, when inclusion body myositis robbed him of all his muscles of strength. He is now confined to a wheelchair or hospital bed. This is a great blessing because it is finally giving him the time to write. He now uses his time to write in a blog (papamarshall.blogspot.com), poems, short stories, novels, and nonfiction. Writing serves not only as great therapy, but gives him opportunities to help others.
