David Toledo

David Toledo’s writing embodies the genius of hip hop in all its chaotic beauty. The raw emotion of teen angst and first loves with the wisdom of an old soul. The hunger, passion, and wide-eyed optimism of youth tempered with a life-time of loss and disappointment. David is the Program Director for the Unified Outreach youth-arts program in Seattle, Washington and has more than a decade of experience overseeing and coordinating various public, private, and non-profit programs working with low-income, at-risk, and inner city youth with the focus of using both traditional and contemporary arts to build a bridge across racial, cultural and economic barriers using Arts & Technology to produce a safe learning environment where children are encouraged to work together on group projects.
