A single mother and nurse, Marcy shares her authentic and open perspectives on dealing with life’s hardships. She has personally wrestled with teenage pregnancy, adoption, abuse, divorce, depression, obesity, and cancer. She provides inspiration and motivation to others, and their supporters, who are dealing with and overcoming similar struggles and challenges with her openness and candid discussions. Marcy shares her home in a far northwest suburb of Chicago with her two younger children and her mother, a retired United Methodist Minister. Carrot and Frankie, her two affectionate cats often cuddle and “help” her as she writes. Carrot plays fetch and catch, thinking he is a dog. She shares the love of writing and helping others with her eldest daughter who works full-time in IT.
