J. Nick Fisk

J. Nick Fisk is a resident dweeb, scientist, poet, bird fanboy, and all around dorky fellow. While Ivivin is his debut piece in fiction, Fisk has published scientific works in journals such as CBE-Life Sciences Education and BMC Evolutionary Biology. He anticipates publishing a collection of poetry within the galactic year.

Fisk graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2016, from where, as legend has it, he holds a Master’s degree in Bioinformatics and a dual Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics. Here, Fisk also *arguably* enjoyed an *arguably* successful four-year stint as a NCAA wrestler.

He is presently pursuing both a PhD (Computational Biology and Bioinformatics) and a sense of humour at Yale University. Beyond his scientific work, Fisk is best known for his groan-inducing puns and his inhuman coffee consumption. You can visit him at jnickfisk.com.
