Brialan Douglass

Brialan is a diligent 17-year-old who is a survivor. He is also the “the rainbow baby,” to his mother (Author Michelle Carter-Douglass). Brialan was diagnosed with asthma at the age of three and autism at the age of five. In his young life, he has survived so much in life. He was bullied so bad in middle school to point he did not want to face his tormentors any longer. His mother intervened and together Brialan and his mother found a resolution to the problems.

In his words, "I refuse to let bad things get me down. I too, survive. I thank God for who I am today. I thank my mother for all she has done for me. It is my time to shine. I am a survivor of physical abuse from my father. I was homeless. My mother taught me never to give up. I was diagnosed with autism by man. I am applied by God."--Brialan Douglass Brialan enjoys writing, reading, video games, and spending time with his two dogs, Karma and Izza. He also has a pet turtle he adores by the name of Tiara.
