I am a retired Dover taxi driver, now living on the south Kent coast of England. In the past, I have worked at a number of London's Soho night clubs in various capacities.
I write for enjoyment and do not expect to make much money from my hobby. I get a huge amount of satisfaction when I finish a story. It is even better to know that others have enjoyed reading it.
My first novel, "WHITECHAPEL NIGHTS", received a great review from Toletha J Dixon which can be seen at: https://booksbookbooks.jimdo.com/2017/12/12/whitechapel-nights-by-l-p-gibbs/ The story is a variation on the Jack The Ripper tale with several twists. The actual murders are factually correct, taken from witness statements, police records and coroner's reports. Chapters in between concern an ordinary, middle-aged Victorian couple, but there IS a link.
Second book, "A TALE OF SOHO NIGHTS", is based very roughly on my life and my experiences whilst working in some of the less salubrious Soho clip-joints.
Third novel is "THE LAST PAYBACK", a sequel to "Soho". It is about an aging ex-enforcer, coming out of retirement to rid the streets of those who have escaped the law. If you enjoyed The Equalizer, you'll love this one.
"THE MEN IN GREY SUITS" is now out, published on Kindle and paperback from lulu.com. Thought you knew how Princess Diana died? Think again. This novel offers a possibility that she could have been murdered. Only one man knows the secret and the establishment will stop at nothing to silence him. All available on Kindle.
Out now is "The Hostess".
