Charles E. Driscoll

Charles E. Driscoll, MD, is a family physician, geriatrician, and educator. He has written and lectured on numerous clinical medicine topics. Now time permits a passion and focus on the history of medicine, especially Civil War medicine. His ancestors include 5 soldiers who served the Union during the Civil War. Dr. Driscoll does living history presentations of both Union and Confederate surgeons. His first book, "Ring The Fire Bell!," brings to life the U.S. General Hospital #1 (1862-65) in Keokuk, Iowa - the Mississippi River town of his youth.
