Renee Baribeau

Renee Baribeau, known as **The Practical Shaman**, is an award-winning Hay House author, teacher, and creator of WindWork®, a nature-based approach to navigating change, finding direction, and bringing spiritual practice into everyday life.

Her book *Winds of Spirit: Ancient Wisdom Tools for Navigating Relationships, Health, and the Divine* received the Nautilus Gold Award and introduced readers to the ancient wisdom of the winds and their enduring relevance in modern life.

Renee is also the author of *A Pilgrim’s Guide to Walking Wisdom: 11:11 Insights*, inspired by her 118-mile pilgrimage on the Camino de Santiago, and creator of the award-winning *Wind Walker’s Wisdom Oracle*, a 64-card deck and guidebook designed to help people listen more deeply, find their bearings, and work with the wisdom of the winds.

For more than three decades, Renee has explored the intersection of shamanic practice, nature, creativity, recovery, and the very human work of navigating change. Her teaching is grounded in a simple belief: spiritual wisdom becomes most meaningful when we bring it home and put it to work in our relationships, communities, choices, and daily lives.

Renee co-hosts **The Shamans Cave** with internationally renowned shamanic teacher Sandra Ingerman, where they explore contemporary life through the lens of shamanic practice. She has taught for organizations including The Shift Network and Omega Institute and has spoken at conferences and gatherings across the country.

Her forthcoming book, *The Practical Shaman*, brings together decades of lived experience and teaching to explore what it means to listen to Spirit while keeping both feet firmly planted in the real world.

Renee lives on Whidbey Island in Washington State, where the winds, waters, forests, and changing seasons continue to inform her work.
