Marcus J. Carlson

Marcus J. Carlson (Rev. Dr. Marcus J. Carlson) is an author, professor, ordained pastor, consultant, speaker and spiritual director. He currently serves as the Executive Director of Preparing for Amazement Ministries (www.amazed15.org). He earned his Bachelors Degree from Eastern University in Youth Ministries with minors in leadership, psychology and theology. He earned his Masters of Theology from Fuller Seminary with a concentration in youth & family ministry as has a Doctor of Ministry degree from Fuller Theological Seminary. Dr. Carlson also has taken additional course work at the graduate level in psychology, leadership and ministry. Marcus is also a husband and father and is very active in his community serving in a variety of roles with many organizations and is a passionate advocate for children and youth.

Dr. Carlson's published books include Habits of Healthy Churches, The False Gospel of Guilt and Shame, and Re-thinking Confirmation. He has also written for magazines, websites and blogs, including his own blogs. Marcus has designed, written, and recorded curriculum materials as well.
