Life gave Melanie love – and Skyhorse Publishing gave her a book deal. How fitting the timing was that she wrote her first book while she and her husband planned their our own wedding! After standing by her best friends as a bridesmaid in multiple weddings, before Melanie even got engaged herself, she had an epiphany. Those same friends became bridesmaids in Melanie's wedding and served as the inspiration for her second book, My Dearest Sister: A Heartfelt Guide to the Love, Friendship, and Lifelong Bonds of Sorority Life.

Melanie J. Pellowski is a journalist, educator and author fascinated by the opportunity to share happiness and gratitude for life's little and big blessings. She also has a sense of humor and is passionate about finding a balance. Before smart phones and social media outlets exploded to inspire the average person to produce daily snapshots of their lives, Melanie was a crafty girl obsessed with creating heartfelt, thoughtful gifts for her friends and family to highlight the special moments and bonds they shared.
