M.R. Hooley

M.R. Hooley is a pen name of American children's book author Michael Hughes. Hughes is the author of numerous, rhyming picture books, geared for children ages 3-8 years old, most of which are listed under the Hooley pen name. Unlike other fictitious authors, M.R. Hooley also appears as a character, portrayed as a bumbling professor, who is used to market the series to young readers.

In addition to his writing, Hughes is an award winning artist and ukulele enthusiast. He lives in southwest Virginia with his wife Karen and, at least, one too many cats.
