Guido Comin

Guido Comin – aka PoetaMatusèl – comes into this world in 1951, in a pretty little village near Belluno, in the Dolomites . Guido tries his hand at the most disparate occupations, over a period of more than thirty years of voluntary exile. He always tries to let the best of the French, English, Danes, Swiss and Germans rub off on him, whilst also finding his poetic inspiration in these different nations. At the beginning of the new millennium, he decides to rediscover his own country and countrymen, but is often rather disappointed. He remains nevertheless passionately in love with his second language, Italian (his mother tongue was a local dialect), which he starts using again in earnest in his writings. About these, he boasts only one thing ‒ writing poetry that is easily accessible to anyone. To echo his own verses and Simona Rizzardi’s quote: ‘simple to pick’ and indeed ‘easy to love!’

In 2016, Guido leaves Italy again, and lands in Berlin. There he still lives and works now, in 2021. In November 2020, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic (now in its second lockdown!), Guido decides to exploit this bad period by trying to narrate his own story in prose. Thus, he creates a sort of autobiography or memoirs: "SOGNAVA CORINNA - Storie dalle tante vite di un randagio paneuropeo". [An English edition is already being prepared.] The book starts off with the story of his mother’s life, then carries on for twenty years, through a thousand vicissitudes. The action is set a bit everywhere, around half of Europe, starting out in his native Valbelluna and ending up in London – via Trieste, Trent, Munich, Lugano and Bonn!

Guido Comin – alias 'PoetaMatusèl' – nasce oltre mezzo secolo fa a Meano di Santa Giustina, un grazioso paesino del Bellunese rimasto quasi com’era ai bei tempi, quando si stava molto meglio, pure stando peggio… Facendo i lavori più disparati, durante oltre un trentennio di esilio volontario, PoetaMatusèl impara a conoscere lingua, costumi e carattere di francesi, tedeschi, svizzeri, inglesi, danesi ed altri, cercando non solo di trarne ispirazione poetica, ma anche di acquisire ciò che di meglio trova in ciascun popolo che lo ospita. All’inizio del nuovo millennio, decide di riscoprire il proprio paese e connazionali, rimanendo però spesso alquanto deluso. Non certo però della sua seconda lingua (la prima era stata il dialetto "belumàt"), che continua a coltivare e a preferire per i suoi scritti poetici. In questi, si vanta di una sola cosa: di riuscire a portare la Poesia da chiunque, perché la sua è poesia accessibile a tutti!

Nel 2016, Guido riparte per altri lidi e questa volta approda a Berlino, dove vive e lavora ancora nel 2021. Nel novembre del 2020, in piena pandemia del Covid-19 (ormai al secondo lockdown!), Guido approfitta del periodaccio, per provare a narrarsi anche in prosa. Nasce così con una specie di autobiografia: "SOGNAVA CORINNA - Storie dalle tante vite di un randagio paneuropeo". Il libro inizia con la storia di sua madre Corinna, per poi continuare per vent'anni di mille peripezie, ambientate un poco ovunque in giro per mezza Europa, dalla natia Valbelluna, fino a Londra, passando per Trieste, Trento, Monaco di Baviera, Lugano e Bonn!!
