Maximilian LeRoux is an economist and entrepreneur. He grew up in Germany, is half Finnish, and has lived more than ten years in Finland. He spent nine years in the United States, across several states, and two and a half years in South America. He has ridden the Trans-Siberian railway from Europe to Asia, speaks five languages fluently, and has talked with people at every station from the homeless to the titled.
He was elected to the city council in Frankfurt, stood for the German Bundestag, and later ran for office in Finland. He has seen politics and business from the inside and from the outside, and has spent his working life independent of both. He writes about freedom, enterprise, and about the power of language and the language of power.
Career Chess, his first book, was about owning yourself inside a corporate society. Foxwood asks what happens when a society stops owning itself.
